Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HELB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HELB data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher HELB Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HELB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where HELB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
