Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HDHD5-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HDHD5-AS1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher HDHD5-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HDHD5-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and OV show a favorable association.

UVM, ACC, and OV are the cancer types where HDHD5-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
