Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HCCS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HCCS data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher HCCS Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HCCS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where HCCS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
