Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HBG1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HBG1 data layer compared with 16 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher HBG1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HBG1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA show a favorable association.
BLCA, SKCM, and LGG are the cancer types where HBG1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
