Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HAPLN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HAPLN1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher HAPLN1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HAPLN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
BRCA, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where HAPLN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
