Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H3-5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated H3-5 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher H3-5 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H3-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and SKCM show a favorable association.

CESC, ACC, and KIRP are the cancer types where H3-5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
