Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2AX mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated H2AX data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher H2AX mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H2AX expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and PDAC show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where H2AX mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
