Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2AC9P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of H2AC9P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where H2AC9P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types H2AC9P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where H2AC9P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
