Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H1-5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated H1-5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher H1-5 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated H1-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and UCEC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where H1-5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
