Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GUCA2A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GUCA2A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where GUCA2A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GUCA2A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, LUSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where GUCA2A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
