Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GTF2A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GTF2A1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GTF2A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GTF2A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC and BLCA are the cancer types where GTF2A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
