Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSTA6P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GSTA6P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where GSTA6P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GSTA6P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, LUSC, and CHOL are the cancer types where GSTA6P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
