Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GSS data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher GSS Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GSS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD and LUSC are the cancer types where GSS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
