Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSDME Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GSDME data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher GSDME Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GSDME expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, PRAD, and ACC are the cancer types where GSDME Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
