Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSC mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GSC data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GSC mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GSC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where GSC mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
