Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GRP RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GRP data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher GRP RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GRP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and ESCA show a favorable association.

STAD, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where GRP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
