Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GRIN2A RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GRIN2A data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher GRIN2A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GRIN2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and HNSC show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where GRIN2A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
