Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GRHL2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GRHL2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher GRHL2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GRHL2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and STAD show a favorable association.
KIRC, SKCM, and PAAD are the cancer types where GRHL2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
