Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GRAMD1B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GRAMD1B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where GRAMD1B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GRAMD1B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where GRAMD1B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
