Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPX8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GPX8 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher GPX8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GPX8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRC, ESCA, and MESO are the cancer types where GPX8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
