Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPLD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GPLD1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GPLD1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GPLD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and COAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and UCS are the cancer types where GPLD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
