Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA8Q RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA8Q’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GOLGA8Q RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA8Q is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, BRCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where GOLGA8Q tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
