Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GOLGA8G RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GOLGA8G’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where GOLGA8G RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GOLGA8G is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, HNSC, and THCA are the cancer types where GOLGA8G tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
