Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GNE Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GNE data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher GNE Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GNE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, PRAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where GNE Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
