Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GMPS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GMPS data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher GMPS Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GMPS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO show a favorable association.
BRCA, LUAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where GMPS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
