Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GM2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GM2A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher GM2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GM2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, LUAD, and UCS are the cancer types where GM2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
