Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GLS2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GLS2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher GLS2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GLS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
MESO, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where GLS2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
