Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GJD2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GJD2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher GJD2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GJD2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, BRCA, and SARC are the cancer types where GJD2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
