Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GIHCG RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GIHCG data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher GIHCG RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GIHCG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and DLBC show a favorable association.
KIRC, LIHC, and KICH are the cancer types where GIHCG RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
