Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GIGYF2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GIGYF2 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GIGYF2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GIGYF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and LGG are the cancer types where GIGYF2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
