Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GHDC RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GHDC data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher GHDC RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GHDC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and READ show a favorable association.
KIRC, LIHC, and READ are the cancer types where GHDC RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
