Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GDF15 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GDF15 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher GDF15 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GDF15 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LIHC, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where GDF15 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
