Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GCLC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GCLC data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GCLC Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GCLC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where GCLC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
