Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GBP4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GBP4 data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher GBP4 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GBP4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and KIRC show a favorable association.

SKCM, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where GBP4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
