Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GATA4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GATA4 data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher GATA4 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GATA4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRP, UVM, and ACC are the cancer types where GATA4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
