Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GAPDHP29 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GAPDHP29’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where GAPDHP29 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GAPDHP29 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where GAPDHP29 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
