Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GANAB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GANAB data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher GANAB Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GANAB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
MESO, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where GANAB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
