Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALT data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher GALT Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where GALT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
