Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALNTL5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALNTL5 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher GALNTL5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALNTL5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, BLCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where GALNTL5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
