Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALNT9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALNT9 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher GALNT9 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALNT9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, DLBC, and BRCA are the cancer types where GALNT9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
