Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALNT3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALNT3 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher GALNT3 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALNT3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and HNSC show a favorable association.
COAD, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where GALNT3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
