Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALNT18 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALNT18 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher GALNT18 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALNT18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
LUAD, PRAD, and COAD are the cancer types where GALNT18 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
