Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GALE Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GALE data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher GALE Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GALE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where GALE Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
