Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GABRA5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GABRA5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher GABRA5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GABRA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.
SCLC, PAAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where GABRA5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
