Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GABARAP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated GABARAP data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher GABARAP Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GABARAP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
BLCA and SKCM are the cancer types where GABARAP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
