Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FXNP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FXNP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where FXNP2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FXNP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, HNSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where FXNP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
