FTO

mutation — cross-omics
Cross-omicsMUTATION → RNAPatientPairwise association · TCGA cohorts

Across TCGA patient cohorts, FTO mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,962 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible FTO-associated genes across cancer lineages are PHF5A, CMC2, and BNIP1. Each is linked with FTO in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both FTO-to-partner and partner-to-FTO results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The box plot shows the strongest example, PHF5A grouped by FTO-low versus FTO-high in UCEC.

mutation associated genes by consensus

Ranked by combined sampling and lineage consensus. X-score (FTO→partner) and Y-score (partner→FTO) are standardized regression coefficients; both directions are reported because the association is undirected. p-values are from the association test.
