Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FOXI1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FOXI1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FOXI1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FOXI1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM, CESC, and HNSC are the cancer types where FOXI1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
