Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FNTAP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FNTAP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where FNTAP2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FNTAP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, THCA, and STAD are the cancer types where FNTAP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
