Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FMO3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FMO3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher FMO3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FMO3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUAD, BRCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where FMO3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
